ABOUT
Genevieve Guadalupe (GG) is a registered yoga teacher with Yoga Alliance, holding an RYT ® 500 certification. She taught classical ballet and fitness classes since her early 20s, and yoga became her daily companion in 2010. She now specializes in Vinyasa, Hatha, Yin, Restorative, and Gentle yoga. Her training and experience with Sound Healing, Nidra, Reiki, Cranial-Sacral therapy and Thai Yoga massage allow her to offer a unique and holistic experience to her students.
GG’s mission is to guide students toward a greater self-awareness, inner peace, and mindfulness. Fluent in English, Spanish, and French, her classes and workshops are offered globally and, frequently, to underserved populations.
- GROUP YOGA – GG teaches group yoga classes of various styles throughout the world. Her restorative and yin classes are known for creating stillness and deep relaxation. Her other classes are known for their fluidity, and challenging yet playful nature. All reflect her knowledge of movement and expression and are designed to help students explore and deepen their practice.
- WORKSHOPS – GG offers workshops in restorative yoga and sound healing. Restorative yoga is a gentle and therapeutic practice designed to release tension and calm the nervous system. Sound healing is designed to heal body, mind, and spirit while creating space for students to feel refreshed, revitalized, and renewed.
- REIKI – Reiki practitioners gently move their hands just above or on the client’s clothed body, with the intention of reducing stress and promoting healing by encouraging a healthy flow of energy. As a certified Reiki Master, GG uses techniques that promote her clients’ overall well-being through relaxation, symptom relief, and feelings of peace and security.
- THAI YOGA MASSAGE – As a certified Thai yoga massage therapist, GG ‘s toolkit includes passive stretches influenced by yoga poses and pressure along energy lines influenced by acupuncture and Ayurveda. Thai yoga massage helps increase flexibility and range of motion, as well as ease back and headache pain. It also lowers stress and aids digestion.
- CRANIAL- SACRAL THERAPY – Cranial-sacral therapy, is a gentle, noninvasive and hands-on treatment that decreases stress from chronic injuries, provides relief from migraine headaches, neck and back pain, and, improves the quality of sleep.
